Rookie C.J. Wiliams is making the most out of his time with the Los Angeles Clippers but knows what his main priority is.
C.J. Williams is living his best life with the Clippers. The 27-year-old rookie may be new to starting in the NBA but he’s been around the league long enough to be confident in his game and seize every opportunity that comes his way. Thanks to multiple injuries L.A. has faced, Williams, who’s on a two-way contract, is getting plenty of playing time in the big league.
He’s been productive in his time on the court, which includes a career-high 18-point performance against the Memphis Grizzlies in the beginning of January. Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks, however, was the highlight of Williams’ career. The rook hit a game-winning step-back three to lift the Clippers over the Hawks with the clock winding down.
After the game, Williams was crowded with questions about taking such a big shot and the confidence it took to launch but he also made an impact on the game defensively. To go along with15 points and his game-winner, Williams also had five steals. He told Ballerz World that with all the injuries L.A. has faced, it’s his job to “Guard the best player every night.”

Williams did just that making an impact beyond clutch points. If he continues to be a two-way player, he’ll find a permanent home in the NBA.
