Dodgers Win Fourth Straight In Sweep Of Rockies

Final score: 4-1, Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers played the finale with the Colorado Rockies Sunday looking for a sweep with newly off the DL Brandon McCarthy getting the start. McCarthy only allowed two hits, one walk and struck out eight. He left the game leading 3-0.

The bullpen held down the game and only gave up one run, by Casey Fien. Adam Liberatore, Joe Blanton and Kenley Jansen all pitched scoreless frames for the Dodgers as well.

The offense got going early again. Trayce Thompson and Yasmani Grandal each hit solo home runs and McCarthy also drew an RBI with a bases-loaded walk to help the Dodgers complete the sweep of the Rockies.

The Dodgers have now won four in a row, and nine in a row at home. They face a tough challenge with a three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles. Julio Urias will be up against Yovani Gallardo for the 4th of July game. The Dodgers will be wearing special Independence Day uniforms to celebrate the day.
