Los Angeles Dodgers vs Cincinnati Reds Game 2 Recap

Final Score: 8-2, Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers played the second game of a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds last night. The Dodgers sent out Mike Bolsinger to make his second start of the year after sending Ross Stripling down to AAA. Bolsinger performed well last night. He pitched 5 2/3 innings allowing three total hits and two earned runs, both of which game off a home run. He also struck out six while only walking only one batter.

The Dodger bullpen was strong in relief. Luis Avilan, Joe Blanton Pedro Baez and Adam Liberatore refused to give up one hit or walk.

The offense caught on fire late in last night’s game as well. In total, they had 11 hits and even scored with two outs a couple of times taking advantage of errors the Reds committed.

Game Analysis:

It was a great game from both the Dodgers pitchers and batters after a one run game last night. L.A’s winning streak has now hit three and tomorrow they’ll be looking to complete the sweep of the Reds.  Justin Turner is starting to look a lot better and Chase Utley is still doing great in the leadoff position.

Scott Kazmir will start tomorrow against Dan Straily who has a decent ERA of 2.85.

Dodgers RBIs

Justin Turner 3 (15)

Joc Pederson 1 (22)

Yasiel Puig 1 (19)

Adrian Gonzalez 1 (22)
