Los Angeles Dodgers vs Colorado Rockies Game 2 Recap

Final score: 4-3, Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers played the second game of the three-game series with the Colorado Rockies. Julio Urías got his first start at Dodgers Stadium since being called up and fared much better than he had previously. Urías pitched four innings, only allowing three hits and one earned run. He walked only one batter while striking out seven; phenomenal for just four innings of work.
The bullpen pitched well for a couple of innings after Urías exited, but Joe Blanton ended up giving up the lead on a single by Carlos Gonzalez. Pedro Baez and Kenley Jansen pitched after not allowing any runs.
The offense looked like it was going to take off after collecting three runs in the first inning, but didn’t keep the momentum going. It wasn’t until the 9th inning with 2 outs that Trayce Thompson blasted a walk-off home run to secure the Dodgers’ victory.
It was great to see the Dodgers come back after a tough loss yesterday and win a tough game tonight. Thompson has been one of the absolute heroes of the Dodgers this season and have saved them up so many times already.

The Dodgers will finish the series tomorrow. Kenta Maeda will start for L.A. while Chris Rusin is scheduled for Colorado.

Dodgers RBIs
Justin Turner 3 (20)
Trayce Thompson 1 (22)
Dodgers Home Runs
Justin Turner 1 (4)
