Final score: 1-0, Rockies.
Last night the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Colorado Rockies squared off for the finale of their three-game series. The Dodgers sent Kenta Maeda to the mound and he did great. Maeda pitched 6 2/3 innings, only allowing one run off of five hits while striking out nine and walking one. The only issue with the run Maeda allowed was that the Dodgers’ offense was unable to pick him up and get on the board.
The bullpen held the Rockies again but the offense was absolutely atrocious. The only time the Dodgers had something going, with bases loaded and only one out, they couldn’t bring the run home.
This was a disappointing way to end a home stand for the Dodgers. The team travels up north to the bay area to take on the San Francisco Giants this weekend to try and gain some ground in the division. Clayton Kershaw will pitch Friday against Johnny Cueto.
