Los Angeles Dodgers vs Los Angeles Angels Game 2 Recap

Final score: 5-1, Dodgers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their series with the Los Angeles Angels tonight at Dodgers Stadium. The Dodgers had Clayton Kershaw on the mound against Angels’ Jered Weaver. Kershaw started the game a little rough but after the 2nd inning he calmed down considerably. Kershaw went eight innings allowing only one run off of four hits, zero walks and 11 strikeouts.

Kenley Jansen was brought out in the 9th inning to close though it wasn’t a save situation. He did his job and finished the game for the Dodgers allowing no one to get on base. Joc Pederson hit two home runs tonight after not hitting one since the Dodgers played the Toronto Blue Jays. The Dodgers’ offense was really on in this game. Their batters  had 13 hits total and capitalized against a struggling Weaver.

Game Analysis:

The Dodgers played very well tonight and evened up the series against a struggling Angels squad. Clayton Kershaw was solid as always and now has four-straight games with double-digit strikeouts. Amazingly in these four games he’s only allowed one walk.

The series moves to Anaheim tomorrow. Mike Bolsinger is scheduled to start for the Dodgers. This will be Bolsinger’s first start of the season.

Dodgers RBIs

Joc Pederson 3 (19)

Corey Seager 1 (21)

Dodgers Home Runs
