Final score: 8-6, Brewers
The Milwaukee Brewers were in town to start a four-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers Thursday night. Scott Kazmir got the start for L.A. but only lasted four innings after his pitch count went over 90. Through his four innings, he allowed three runs off of five hits, while striking out eight and walking two. Kazmir would get a no-decision on the night.
The bullpen, who has been good overall was very bad last night besides Chris Hatcher. But both Casey Fien and Pedro Baez gave up key runs that ultimately led to a Brewers victory.
The offense was a little more on their game last night, 6 runs definitely should have been enough to put this team away, yet the pen really messed up. The Dodgers went as far as loading the bases up in the 9th inning but Seager struck out to end the game.
Now that the offense has kicked into the gear for the Dodgers, it’s the bullpen doing poorly as it seems the team just can’t find any consistency. Regardless, the Dodgers will continue their series with the Brewers tonight. The young gun, Julio Urias will start against Brewers’ Zach Davies.
