Maeda Struggles, Orioles End Dodgers’ Win Streak

Final Score: 4-1, Orioles.

The Los Angeles Dodgers played the second game of the series with the Baltimore Orioles Tuesday night, looking to take yet another series and extend their winning streak. Kenta Maeda started the game but struggled his entire outing. He had men on base every inning and was pulled before he could record an out in the 5th inning. He finished his night having gone four plus innings. Allowing four runs off seven hits while walking three and striking out five. Maeda left the game losing 4-1.

Pedro Baez, Luis Coleman Luis Avilan and Chris Hatcher all had scoreless outings in relief and only allowed two hits in between them.

The offense struck early in the first inning with a two-out RBI single from Adrian González after a Corey Seager double, but couldn’t overcome their deficit. The Dodgers win streak ended at five games.

Dodgers RBIs

Adrian Gonzalez 1 (40)

Game Analysis:

Maeda was struggling early and the Orioles were bound to break through. The good news for the Dodgers is the San Francisco Giants lost to the Colorado Rockies keeping them only five games back.

Wednesday will be the finale of the series in a day game. Bud Norris will start against Kevin Gausman looking to build on his strong Dodgers debut and to win the series for L.A.
