Raiders to part ways with Sebastian Janikowski

The Oakland Raiders will part ways with a long-time veteran.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders have informed kicker Sebastian Janikowski that they will not bring him back next season.

The veteran was a member of the Raiders for 18 years.

Oakland drafted Janikowski in 2000 and since he’s converted 414 field goals and 557-of-563 extra point attempts.

The 39-year-old was sidelined in 2017 due to injury and Giorgio Tavecchio did well enough in his place that the chances of Janikowski re-signing with the Raiders was slim. Now the organization has made it official.
