The Rams roll to their third win of the season

The Los Angeles Rams have the NFL’s highest-scoring offense after being projected to have the worst–can they keep this up?

The Rams are rolling after four weeks of football action and find themselves at 3-1.

They have been the biggest surprise so far this season lighting it up on the offensive side of the ball and they lead the NFL in scoring.

Second-year QB Jared Goff has made an impressive jump under new HC Sean McVay and Todd Gurley is having a resurgent season as well.

Through three weeks at 2-1, they hadn’t completely changed people’s perceptions because their wins were against the lowly Indianapolis Colts and the winless San Francisco 49ers. But after going on the road and beating the Dallas Cowboys 35-30, they’re making people believers.

It’s safe to say they’ve thrashed ESPN analytics metrics that said they would be the worst offense in the league with Goff under center but the question remains will they be able to sustain their success.

The next quarter of the season will be a good measuring stick of where L.A. is as a football team. They have a tough matchup at home Week 5 against a Seattle Seahawks team that has underperformed this season but are coming off of a blowout win against the Colts in Week 4.

If the Rams can defend their home turf against a proud team like the Seahawks who are looking to right the ship, then they’ve turned the corner as a franchise–that quick.

Win or lose, L.A.’s following three games from Week 6 to Week 9 will all be winnable as none of the teams they’re scheduled against are above .500.

If L.A. goes just 2-2 over their next four matches, a 5-3 record will be respectable considering how bad they were last year. But the Rams have the opportunity to make a real statement and it starts Week 5 against Seattle.
