Final score: 99-84, Raptors
After the Cleveland Cavaliers had an easy road to the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals sweeping the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks, it looked like the Toronto Raptors would suffer the same fate after being blown out in Games 1 and 2 of the ECF.
But last night the Raptors had a different idea. They hosted their first Eastern Conference Finals home game and gave the Cavaliers a taste of their own medicine with an impressive win.
The Raptors jumped out to another fast start but this time, they were able to maintain the lead throughout the game. Toronto took a bite out of the Cavaliers ending their unbeaten playoff streak at 10.
The big three for Cleveland struggled this game combining for only 40 points while the big two for Toronto took charge of the game and combined for 52 points. Bismack Biyombo was relentless on the boards securing 26 rebounds, 16 of them coming in the first half.
It was a total domination on both sides of the floor for the home team in game 3, as they fought to keep their Finals hopes alive.
The Raptors will look to tie up the series at home on Monday, May 23 at 5:30 PT
