The Sparks and Lynx play for a tie breaker Game 3 of the WNBA Finals

The Los Angeles Sparks and the Minnesota Lynx are tied 1-1 heading to Game 3 of the WNBA Finals.

The battle between the Sparks and the Lynx has lived up to the hype. Two games are in the books that have been decided by a total of three points. Game 1 L.A. bested Minnesota 85-84, and Game 2 the Lynx bounced back with a 70-68 win over the Sparks.

So far the Sparks have been led by guard Chelsea Gray who put up 27 points to go with 3 rebounds and 6 assists in Game 1, and Candace Parker who dropped 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in Game 2.

For the Lynx, the league MVP Sylvia Fowles has led the team with 22 points and 13 rebounds in Game 1 and 13 points and 17 rebounds game 2.

The series now shifts to L.A. for the pivotal Game 3 in the best of five series that shouldn’t disappoint.

This is the second year in a row these two teams have faced each other with the Sparks winning Game 5 in Minnesota.

The Lynx are looking for revenge and could find themselves one step closer to that goal if they come out on top in the two team’s next meeting.

Tip-off for Game 3 is Friday, 6:00 p.m. PST on ESPN2.
