After underperforming significantly for the Los Angeles Rams last season, running back Todd Gurley is having a bounce-back year.
Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals Gurley helped the Rams pull off a shutout victory in London.
He rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown and also caught 4 passes for 48 yards.
L.A.’s offense has been using Gurley out of the backfield as a receiver a lot this season and it’s working.
Through seven games the running back is fourth in the NFL in rushing with 521 yards and 4 rushing TDs to go along with 245 receiving yards on a 10.7 yards per catch average.
If the third-year back continues playing at this level he’ll be the comeback player of the year and certainly the Rams’ MVP.
In Week 8 L.A. hits the road to face the struggling New York Giants where Gurley and his Rams should have another productive outing.
