The Toronto Raptors fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6, 113-87. The Raptors came out flat to start and were playing catch-up throughout the entire game. In the first half calls by the officials were questionable and seemed to lean toward the Cavaliers giving them an advantage.
In the 1st quarter, Kevin Love took an elbow on defense from Bismack Biyombo and after the officials reviewed the play, upgraded the foul on Biyombo to a flagrant 1, meaning if there were a game 7 Biyombo would have been suspended.
In the beginning of the 2nd quarter, Jonas Valančiūnas came down with a rebound and accidentally elbowed Cavaliers’ Richard Jefferson. Jefferson then proceeded to get in Valančiūnas’ face leading Raptors’ Patrick Patterson to push Jefferson out of the way before officials called technical fouls on Jefferson, Valančiūnas and Patterson.
The Cavaliers started to pull away in the 3rd quarter going up by as much as 20 points and the Raptors seemed to be giving up before Kyle Lowry caught fire cutting the deficit in half in the 4th quarter.
Raptors kept the game close but ultimately didn’t have enough firepower to force the Cavaliers to a Game 7.
